Privacy Policy

Effective 7 June 2026

Overview

Setlister ("we", "us") turns a YouTube DJ-set link into a tracklist and helps you find each track and build playlists on the music services you connect. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we handle it. We do not sell your personal data.

Information we collect

  • Account & identity. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile basics. Your email is the key we use for your account and subscription.
  • Service connections. When you connect Google/YouTube, Spotify, or Apple Music, we receive OAuth access tokens that let us search those services and create playlists on your behalf. Tokens are held only to perform actions you request.
  • Subscription & billing. Payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status (plan, trial/active/canceled, renewal date). We never see or store your full card details — Stripe handles them.
  • Usage data. Standard server logs and the YouTube links/track text you submit for parsing. Tracklist parsing may send the public comment text of the video you provide to our AI parsing provider.

How we use your information

  • To authenticate you and provide the free and paid (Selector) features.
  • To search connected services and create playlists you ask us to build.
  • To manage your subscription, trial, and billing through Stripe.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the service.

Google user data & Limited Use

Setlister's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We request the YouTube scope only to read your YouTube data and create playlists at your request; we do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it or transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide the feature you requested or as required by law. Google's handling of your data is also governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Service providers we share with

We share data only with providers that help us run Setlister:
  • Stripe — payments & subscription management.
  • Convex — database for accounts & subscription status.
  • Vercel — application hosting.
  • Anthropic — AI parsing of public tracklist text.
  • Google/YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, Discogs — only to perform the searches and actions you initiate.

Data retention

We keep account and subscription records while your account is active. OAuth tokens are retained only as long as needed to provide connected features and are discarded or refreshed per each provider's rules. You can disconnect a service or delete your account at any time (see below).

Data deletion

You can delete your data at any time. To delete your account and all associated data (account record, Stripe customer reference, and any stored subscription status), email us at support@setlister.co and we will remove it within 30 days. You can immediately revoke Setlister's access to your Google/YouTube data in your Google account permissions, and disconnect Spotify or Apple Music from their account settings. Revoking access stops all further data access and discards the associated tokens.

Your choices & rights

  • Disconnect any music service from the app at any time.
  • Manage or cancel your subscription from the Account page (Stripe billing portal).
  • Request access to or deletion of your data by emailing us. You may also revoke Setlister's access in your Google account permissions and Spotify/Apple account settings.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page.
